You may volunteer during camp as a Cabin Counselor or Daytime Volunteer. Volunteers participate in camp activities with one goal in mind and that is to ensure a safe fun week for the kids.

4. What time do I need to be there on arrival day and when do I leave on departure day?

You will need to arrive at camp by 4 pm on Volunteer Arrival Day. This will enable you to settle into your cabin and return for dinner at 5 pm. Followed by a Mandatory Volunteer Orientation (approximately 2.5 hours). Departure Day is usually between 12 pm and 1 pm, as soon as camp is clean. Summer Camp volunteers must commit to the entire camp week.

5. Do I have to attend the Orientation?

YES! Every volunteer must be present for the orientation training session prior to the camper’s arrival. We discuss the schedule of activities for the week, review camp policies/procedures and present a general medical overview. You will also take a tour of camp and receive other important information regarding your volunteer role with our campers.

6. Do you provide transportation to camp?

You will need to provide your own transportation to camp. We will provide transportation service to camp from local airports. Plan to fly into LAX or Burbank Airport by 12 noon of your scheduled arrival day and depart after 3pm on departure day.

7. What do I need to bring?

Once you have been accepted into the program, you will receive a staff manual with tips on what to bring. Everyone should bring an alarm clock as our days begin early.
